Timothy Small

RAYMOND — Timothy M. “Timmy” Small, 52, of Raymond, passed on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, surrounded by family and friends.

Timmy was born in Portland on June 3, 1963, the son of Esther Thurlow Small.

Timmy was a graduate of Windham High School class of 1983. He went though training in the 133rd Army National Guard.

He was a talented subcontractor for several local businesses including Dirigo Drywall, Knights Bait Shop, Knights Drywall, Knights Flooring, MK Drywall, and George Knights painting. Most recently, he proudly opened his own business, Redneck Tree Huggers with his partner Janice Knights.

Timmy lived and loved fiercely. If you were a friend you were family. Timmy was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, hike and walk the beach. He adored being with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling to warm places and was able to fulfill a dream of spending several weeks in Florida just this past winter.

He was preceded by his father the late Carl Small.

Timmy is survived by one son, Timothy Small, 21 of Raymond; nine siblings, Brian C. Small and wife Rhonda of Raymond, Michael C. Small and Lorrie of Raymond, Malcolm of Raymond, Brenda Durgan of Oxford, Donna Coady of Lewiston, Barry of Norway, Melissa of Raymond, Vicki and husband Wayne Varney of Windham, Kerry of Raymond; his girlfriend and business partner Janice Knights; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and a world of friends.

Timmy was the type of guy every one loved and loved being around. His constant energy and enthusiasm will sadly be missed.

The family would like to thank the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston for the their incredible care and compassion.

Visiting hours will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, July 5, at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Rd., Casco, followed by a celebration of Life at The American Legion Post #155, Rte. 11, Naples from 1 to 5 p.m.
