HARRISON — Thomas M. “Tom” Haas, 62, of Harrison, died unexpectedly, Thursday, April 18, 2019, at his home in Harrison.

He was born on, Jan. 23, 1957, in Somerville, Mass., a son of Henry and Winifred (Walbourne) Haas. He attended Wilmington, Mass., schools and went on to attend the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

In 1979, he married Judith Eaton in Londonderry, N.H., where they made their home.

Tom went to work immediately in engineering after school. He began his career with Compugraphic Corp. (now AGFA) in Wilmington for 15 years, and then Bowe Bell & Howell in Needham, Mass., as a Field Service Engineer for 26 years.

He and Judy moved to Harrison in 1987, where he enjoyed life on Crystal Lake; he especially enjoyed lake life including boating, water skiing and scuba diving. He loved to fly planes, traveling and camping as well.

Tom is loved by his wife, Judy, of Harrison; a daughter, Jennifer (Barnes) Norris and her husband, Brian, and their daughter, Molly, of Newburyport, Mass.; siblings, Claire Wells of Derry, N.H., Marjorie Gardner of Raymond, N.H., and Teresa Fogg and her husband, Donald, of Chelmsford, Mass.; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Marie Eaton of Wilmington, Mass.; and many beloved nieces and nephews including godchild Cheri Holladay of North Chelmsford, Mass. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry James “Jimmy” Haas Jr. He was also predeceased by his godchild, Matthew Gardner.
