Ronald Clayton Thurlow, 76, of Bridgton, passed away on October 1, 2023, in Portland.

He was born on November 6, 1946, in Bridgton. Ronald was a hardworking, loving role model for all his family.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta Thurlow, his daughters Ginger Thurlow, Shelley Thurlow, Nancy Marton, his stepdaughter Julie Geller and his goddaughter Samantha Kearns, his sisters Nancy Corbeil and Pauline Hankseric.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Verna Thurlow, and his brother Norman Thurlow.

Ronald served his country as a proud United States Air Force Veteran. After his military service, Ronald worked alongside his father until he took over the family business in 1984 at Thurlow’s Carpet and Home Center. He dedicated his career to the success of the business and retired in 2021.

In his free time, Ronald enjoyed fishing with his friend Rocky Pratt, golfing, ATV riding, solving puzzles, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held with Ronald’s family and friends to honor his memory.
