HARRISON — Patrick M. Murphy, of Naples Rd., died unexpectedly at home on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of Patrick and Patricia Murphy.

Patrick will be remembered as the guy who was always asking if anyone needed help of any kind. As a retired NYPD police officer, he had a great love for his country. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Long Beach, N.Y.

Patrick's passions were his wife and home, his friend, the ocean, cooking, and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy; two brothers, Terry and Timmy Murphy and their families of New York: several nieces and nephews; as well as his mother-in-law Ann Antich.

Visiting hours will be held at Hall Funeral Home in Casco, on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 6–8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, or to the Harrison Volunteer Fire Department.
