WINDHAM — Patricia V. MacVane, 79, of Windham, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at The Gosnell House in Scarborough.

Patricia was a longtime resident of Casco, where she devoted many years to the renovation and preservation of her historic home “Manning’s Folly” on Raymond Cape.

She studied at the Biochemical Department of Harvard Medical School and the Pediatric Department at Boston City Hospital from 1951-1957.

She enjoyed cooking, meeting new friends and simply touching the lives of everyone she encountered in that special loving way she had.

She was the daughter of the late Dr. Francis Lasky Taylor and Dr. Zella Eileen Taylor.

She is survived by her loving husband, David H. MacVane; her daughters, Colleen Steeves and Bonnie Page; three granddaughters; five great-granddaughters; a great-grandson; brother, Eugene (“Bucky”) Taylor; and many other family and friends.

The family will hold a private celebration of life and want to thank friends and family for all of their thoughts and prayers.
