LAKELAND, FLA. — Noreen Ruth (Long) Smith, 93, passed away March 22, 2019, at Good Shepherd Hospice, in Lakeland, Florida.

She was born on May 25, 1925, to Ruth and James Long in Cleveland, Ohio. She then moved to Mass., where she lived for many years, moving to Maine in 1967 and then retiring in Lakeland, Fla. Then she became a snowbird, traveling between Lakeland, Fla., and Harrison, Maine. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Buck” Smith; and three brothers: James, Gene and Richard Long.

Noreen was married to Buck for 67 years at his passing. They enjoyed their summers in Harrison. 

She is survived by five children: Linda, Richard (Linda), Arthur (Janet), Donald (Sheila), all of Florida; and Ronald (Shelley) of Harrison Maine; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church of Lakeland, and past member of Calvary Community Church of Harrison.
