AUBURN — Marjory H. Leonard, 52, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

Marjory Leonard was born to Gale Petersen and Burnham Perry on June 24, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Marjory grew up in Portland, and attended Portland schools and made many friends.

Marjory was very thoughtful, compassionate and giving to everyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with family, collecting photos, scratching lottery tickets, playing card games, enjoying a good cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and chatting with friends and family on Facebook. She also had a teddy bear collection of over 2,000 bears! Marjory and her mom spent a lot of time chatting, they were very close and the best of friends. Her mom’s passing left her feeling incredibly lost and sad.

Marjory was predeceased by her mother, Gale Petersen Heald; father, Burnham Perry; and older sister, Laurie May Drinkwater. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Walter Tibbets Jr. of Oxford; her son, Kevin Leonard of New London, Conn.; stepdaughter, Elaine Leonard of Portland; two brothers, Richard Varney of South Portland and Linwood Cordwell of Florida; her sisters, Jeannie Jones of Windham and Kate Lake of Casco; and her four grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland.
