Marjorie Fogg

Marjorie R. Fogg, 101, of Bridgton passed away peacefully at the Woodlands Memory Care in Bridgton on Jan. 28, 2024.

Marjorie was born in Bath, on Saturday May 6, 1922, to parents Nathaniel and Mabel (Pearl) Sylvester.

Marjorie attended local schools in the Portland area where she graduated from high school. She
worked as a waitress and hostess in the years after graduating high school. She married the love of her
life, Morris E. Fogg. Together, they raised two daughters, Almira and Evelyn, on their New Gloucester farm. Marjorie and her husband spent many years as superintendents of the Eastman Hill Estate in Lovell.

Marjorie found joy in many crafts such as knitting and crocheting in her free time. She was known for knitting mittens for every child she knew. She also gave back to her community by making crochet afghans for local nursing homes in the area.

Marjorie is predeceased by her loving husband Morris, her parents Nathaniel and Mabel, and stepmother Hazel.

Marjorie leaves behind two daughters; Almira Nappi of Westbrook, Evelyn (Ronald) Leavitt of Sweden; grandchildren Mark (Cheryl) Norton of Yarmouth, Wayne (Kelley) Norton of Gorham, Dwight (Terri) of Gorham, Tammy (Daniel) Hickman of Sweden, nine great-grandchildren, and nine great-great- grandchildren.
