NAPLES — Marcia J. Tripp, 73, passed away at Bridgton Hospital on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019.

She was born in Bridgton to Charles and June Norman on Aug. 13, 1946. She attended local schools. As a young girl, she belonged to Scouting and Junior Grange.

In February 1962, she married Carlton Tripp Jr. They were married for 47 years.

She enjoyed bird watching, nature, especially flowers and plants and until recent years her vegetable garden, like her dad.

She is survived by her daughters Mariah Ireland of Harrison and Teresa Collins of New Gloucester; son, Carlton Tripp of Gardiner; eight grandchildren, eight and soon to be 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Jeanne Tenny of Naples, Dea Dea Robbins of Naples and Marge Webber of Winthrop.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and June Norman; husband, Carlton Tripp Jr.; daughter, Holly Hodgkins; and brothers, Paul Leighton, Jim, Fred and Craig Norman.

A graveside service will be planned for spring at the Crooked River Cemetery in Naples.
