SOUTH PORTLAND — Lucille A. Morin, of South Portland, passed away at the exact age of 92 and four months on the Summer Solstice, June 21, 2015, in Portland.

Lucille was born on Feb. 21, 1923, in Saint-Grégoire-de-Montmorency, P.Q., the daughter of Laureat and Rose (Robert) Lecomte. Lucille immigrated at the age of four months, in June 1923, with her family and lived in Manchester, N.H., until February 1962, when her husband was transferred to South Portland.

Lucille’s entire life was devoted to her husband and family with a sense of humor. She had a love of gardens and her yard. She was communicant of Holy Cross Church in South Portland.

She was a dedicated wife and influential mother, and these are the only professions to which she ever aspired and she was very good at both of these endeavors.

She is now reunited with her husband of 58 plus years, Gordon H. Morin, who predeceased her on July 18, 1997; and her son, Bruce G. Morin, who predeceased her on Nov. 6, 1974.

Surviving Lucille are three sons, Gary H. of Auburn, Brian J. Sr. of Bridgton and Keith J. of Shapleigh; a daughter, Eleanor L. Morin Chauvette of Manchester, N.H.; two brothers, Robert Lecomte of Goffstown, N.H. and Raymond Lecomte of South Portland; a sister, Rita Cross of California; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Aug. 8, 2015, at New Calvary Cemetery in South Portland. Arrangements are by Hobbs Funeral Home, South Portland. Online condolences may be shared at www.hobbsfuneralhome.com
