NAPLES — Linda Mary Horne, 73, of Naples, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

Daughter of Kenneth and Elsie Ames of Albany, Maine, Linda grew up in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and graduated from James B. Castle High School before her family moved back to Albany.

Linda had a unique gift as an accomplished quilter and crafter, owning her own quilt shop in Bridgton. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  Her joy was found in reading, sewing, cooking, community activities, and spending time with her friends and family. Most recently, her favorite activity was spending as much time as she could playing and coloring with her granddaughter, the daughter she always wanted. She will be missed by all who knew her and her warm, thoughtful, kind spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years John “Jack” Horne; sons Earl Newalu and wife Jeanna of McDonough, Georgia, Jay Horne and partner Raychell Libby of Hollis, and Douglas Horne and wife Randee of Sebago; and three grandchildren, Blake and Kam Newalu and Remi Lyn Horne.

There will be no services, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm Street, Bridgton.
