WINDHAM — Lillian Theresa Faunce, 88, died at Ledgewood Manor on Aug. 17, 2010.

Born in Berlin, N.H., on Jan. 20, 1922, Lillian was the daughter of Lonia and Omer Lachance. Lillian was the salutatorian of the Gorham, N.H. High School, Class of 1939. She was a longtime employee of Health-Tex Corporation and a member of the Gorham Country Club where she enjoyed many rounds of golf with Bernard.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Omer and Oliver, and by her sisters, Deloza St. Clair, Mary Fitting, Lorene Donato and Dorianna Walker.

Lillian was married in 1940 to Bernard Faunce, who died in 1999. Together, they had six children who survive: Beverley White of Sebago, Sally Ricker of Standish, Irving Faunce of Wilton, Bonnie Moulton of Windham, Suzanne House of Hendersonville, N.C. and Cathy Marion of Scarborough; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
