Lillian Robbins

RUMFORD — Lillian A. Robbins, 76, of Naples, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 23, 2024, at the Rumford Community Hospital in Rumford after battling illness. She left us peacefully with family by her side.

Lil was born on April 13, 1947, in Portland, a daughter of Robert E. and Annie (Holmes) Gossom.

As a young woman, she worked at DeCoster’s Egg Farm in Turner before settling in the
Lakes Region. She later worked as a dispatcher for the Naples Rescue and then got into nursing, both in home care and at Hick’s Nursing Home in Bridgton (now Bella Point). Most recently, she worked in local convenience stores.

Lil enjoyed various crafts including knitting and needle-point work, playing Bingo and fishing.

She is loved by her longtime partner, Henry Brown of Naples; children, Arthur, Rhonda, Becky, and Peter Robbins; stepson, Jason Brown; a sister, Cindy Gossom; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Linda Lippert and Sue Robinson.

Spring interment will be at the Edes Falls Cemetery in Naples.
