BROWNFIELD — Lawrence R. "Tiger" Tibbetts, 39, of Brownfield, died suddenly on Aug. 21, 2010.

He was born in North Conway, N.H. on Oct. 25, 1970, the son of the late Rex and Mildred "Dolly" Tibbetts. He was raised in Brownfield and graduated from Fryeburg Academy Class of 1989. He was owner and operator of Tibbetts and Sons in Denmark. Lawrence worked many years as equipment operator and mechanic in the logging industry. 

Lawrence enjoyed spending time with his family camping and his woodworking projects. He was a volunteer for the Brownfield Fire Department and had helped coach Little League.

He was the loving and proud father of Brandon Tibbetts of Bridgton and stepson Kyle Cook of Steep Falls and partner Kelly Swelzart of Brownfield. He is also survived by a brother, David of Beaufort, S.C.; sisters Jean Tibbetts of Biddeford and Pauline Ames of Brownfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Brownfield. Arrangements are made with Wood Funeral Home, Fryeburg.
