Kimberly S. Wilson, 47

Kimberly Wilson

HARRISON — Kimberley Sue Wilson, 47, of Harrison, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017.

Kimberley was born in Trenton, Mich., on Feb. 13, 1970, to her parents Ralph T. Price and Sally Marschner Price. Kimberley attended the local elementary schools of Beaverton, Mich., and attended Beaverton High School, graduating as the Salutatorian of her high school class. She went on to further her education at Central Michigan University, graduating with honors, earning her degree in Early Childhood Development in 1992.

Kimberley’s lifelong love of children was evident in all she did. She had, over time, worked within the youth and children’s program at Science Central in Fort Wayne, Ind., and later with the state of Indiana’s Child Protective Services division. Upon her move to Maine in 2011, she entered into service with the domestic violence victim’s advocacy agency, “Safe Voices,” acting as the organizations formal grant writer, and manager. Kimberley also greatly enjoyed her time working with the Maine Girl Scouts of America, assisting Troop 1618, of which her daughter was a member.

There was nothing that Kimberley ever ventured into that she was not able to perform to perfection, be it in the work as a seamstress, of which she created many gowns for friends over the years, woodworking, creating numerous beautiful objects for her home, jewelry-making, painting, upholstery, crafting of all kinds, and assisting with the Huntington Indiana P.A.L. baseball program and later the Huntington County baseball program of Huntington, Ind., all while never failing to provide and maintain a beautiful home for her family. Kimberley could do so very much and shared it with all those that were blessed with knowing her.

Several years ago, after just a few vacations through Maine, she decided to make it her home, as she saw it to be the most beautiful place she had ever been. She was always quick to make friends, being a dedicated worker, and most wonderful and supporting mother of her beautiful daughter, Makenna and stepson, Adam. Kimberley’s soft heart for animals was always a blessing on her farm in Huntington, Ind., where, over the years, she nursed numerous animals in need of a soft hand and loving heart. Kimberley will be so dearly missed by all that were ever blessed with her most sincere friendship.

Kimberley leaves behind her daughter, Makenna Wilson, age 10; Makenna’s brother, Adam Wilson; her husband, Patrick; a brother. John Price of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; as well as a multitude of friends.

Kimberley was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph T. and Sally Price; and her sister, Jamie Price MacDonald.
