SUMMERFIELD, FLA. — Kimberly J. Simpson, 42, of Summerfield passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015.

Ms. Simpson was born Feb. 13, 1973 in Bangor. She moved here in February of 2013 from Lisbon. Kim was the Director of Rehab at The Club in The Villages. She was dedicated to her profession and devoted to helping others. She had a love of horses, especially “Playboy” and “Mac.” She was very active in the Susan G. Komen Three Day Walk for breast cancer and the Dempsey Challenge for cancer. Kim was a tireless volunteer. Whether it was in parent organizations of her son’s schools, on the sidelines of sporting events, or at national fundraising campaigns, Kim found the time to contribute, and had received presidential recognition for her service.

Survivors include her life partner, Larry Partash; son, Gregory Scott Simpson; parents, Carol and John Dean of The Villages and Richard and Pam Simpson of Hampden; brother, Kevin Simpson of Raymond; a niece; paternal grandmothers, Doris Cyr and Mary Simpson.

A celebration of life with a visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 in the Banks/Page-Theus Chapel, 410 Webster Street, Wildwood, Fla. 34785.
