Kenneth B. Crosby

SOUTH PORTLAND — Kenneth B. (Bud) Crosby, 85, of South Portland passed away in Scarborough on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014.

He was born in Braintree, Mass. on Aug. 29, 1928, the son of William H. and Cora M. Crosby.

Bud attended local schools in Braintree.

He was a full-time member of the National Guard for 37 years, retiring to Maine in 1990.

Bud was a member of the South Portland Church of the Nazarene.

Bud enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards, traveling and dancing.

He was predeceased by his wife, Audrey.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn M. Crosby; his daughter, Kathleen Anderson of Westport; three sons, Kenneth Jr. of Naples, Michael of South Paris and Robert of Pembroke; and two stepchildren, Gayle and Glen Stoddard; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Pietila, Charlotte Noyes and Cora Webber.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the South Portland Church of the Nazarene, 525 Highland Avenue, South Portland. The service was followed by visitation and light refreshments at the church.
