Keith C. Morton, 85

RAYMOND — Keith C. Morton, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Maine Medical Center.
He was born April 9, 1929 in Gorham, a son of Frank and Aurilla (Saunders) Morton.
Keith grew up in Gorham and joined the U.S. Army following high school. Following his military discharge, he enjoyed an engineering career working for a variety of companies across the country.
Keith participated in many organizations and was a proud member of the S.B.E, A.O.P.A., American Legion Post #155 of Naples, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Quarter Century Wireless, the White Mountain Choral Society, Kora Shrine, Roman-Hatheway Lodge #223 F&AM of Rome, N.Y., and the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Gorham. He was also a registered professional engineer with the Commonwealth, a commercial pilot, and held a marine captain’s license.
In addition to his parents Keith was predeceased by a wife, Birdie Ruth Morton and siblings, Angie Spring, Winnie Robichaud, Marie Taylor and Donald Morton.
Keith is survived by his wife Roberta (Pries) Morton; sons, David Morton and William Blood, both of Raymond; daughter, Beth Blood of Portland; sisters, Ethel Quattrucci of South Portland and Betty Dusty of Massachusetts; three grandchildren; and former wife, Marie Blood of Raymond.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. Burial will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery, Gorham. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com
