On Wednesday, June 2, 2021, June Harmon Shedd, 93, passed away in Bridgton.

Born June Elaine Harmon in Boston, Mass., on January 22, 1928, to Victor C. and Ethel Mae (Zink) Harmon.

Mrs. Shedd retired in 1978 having spent most of her working life in the insurance industry, becoming the first female underwriter at Middlesex Insurance company (now Sentry) in Concord, Mass.

In 1979, she moved permanently to Bridgton; first at her cabin on Moose Pond and then to her current
home on South High Street. June enjoyed wintering at Big Tree RV Resort in Arcadia, Fla., for over 40 years.

She is survived by her son David Harmon Shedd, his wife Linda, both of Clarkdale, Ariz.; and two cousins and their families: Janice Walker Brume of Cumberland, and Kenneth and Arlene Walker of Bridgton.
