Jodine Webster

FRYEBURG— Jodine L. Webster, 69, a beloved and lifetime resident of Fryeburg, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born on Jan. 10, 1951, in Fryeburg, a daughter of, Millard and Glenna (Wentworth) Burnell.  She attended local schools, graduating from Fryeburg Academy in 1969. That same year on June 28, she married Austin “Buddy” Webster at the New Church in Fryeburg.

Jodine had a variety of jobs over the years, but will be most fondly remembered as clerk and waitress at various local “institutions” such as the Blacksmith Coffee Shop, Solari’s Store, Village Variety and Leo’s. She had also spent time providing home health to many area elderly residents.

Alongside Buddy, she had been very involved in the Fryeburg Lions Club over the years.

Jodine was a wonderful mother who blatantly spoiled her children grandchildren with Buddy who include son, Marc Webster and his longtime companion, Denise McGrath of Fryeburg; Meggan Day and her husband, Jeff of Fryeburg, and their children, Meredith and Austin; two sisters, Janet Baker of Windham and Julie Burnell of Cannonsburg, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Brenda Leach of Conway, N.H.; nieces and nephews; “bonus grandchildren” Brittany Downing, Katie and Elena Carvalho, and Courtney Everts.

She was predeceased by her beloved, Buddy on June 29, 2018; bothers, Dennis Burnell and Billy Frost; sisters, Pam Frost and Bonnie Turcotte.

A memorial graveside service celebrating Jodine’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Fryeburg Pine Grove Cemetery.
