CASCO — Gregory E. Nichols, 50, of Casco passed peacefully due to a medical event doing what he loved, snowmobiling with family and friends Saturday February 24, 2024.

Greg was born on October 20, 1973. He was the youngest child to Owen and Jeneta Nichols. He graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School in 1992. He spent 27 years with Glidden Excavating and Paving.

Greg was married to Bonnie for 24 years, they have two daughters, Karley and Molly.

His need to make everybody feel welcomed allowed him to touch the hearts of many. You could always find him on something that had a throttle, snowmobiling and four-wheeling with his family and friends. He would spend his free time hunting, fishing, being upta camp and making memories with everyone around him. He enjoyed all his extended family and friends from racing New England XC, King of the Mountain, Tame the Track XC Racing, Maine Motocross Series; and supported many snowmobile clubs including, Roxbury ATV Riders, Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club, Crocked River Snowmobile Club just to name a few.

A man who was a leader and friend to everybody he knew.

Greg is loved by his wife Bonnie; daughter Karley Nichols and boyfriend Brady Southerland; daughter Molly Nichols and boyfriend Jeff Mccubrey; his father Owen; his sister Candi and husband Tim Taylor; his sister Terry and husband Vince Barfield; parents in-law Tony and Donna Bogdahn; sister in-law Brenda Kemp; brother in-law Brian Bogdahn; his niece Caitlin Taylor and nephews Owen Taylor, Brian Bogdahn and Grady Kemp; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. His roommates Dave and Bill, along with his puppies.

He is predeceased by his mother Jeneta Nichols, grandmothers Mildred Frye and Esther Cranford and many aunts and uncles.

Memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road in Casco. The celebration of Greg’s life will continue from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Naples American Legion Post following visitation.
