Grace Tarbox

LONGWOOD, FLORIDA AND HARRISON — Grace R. Tarbox, 76, of Longwood, Florida and Harrison, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017.

She was born Feb. 16, 1941, in Waterville, the daughter of Dr. Alton and Margaret (Henderson) Richardson III. She was a graduate of Waterville High School and graduated from the University of Miami in 1963.

Grace was known as "Miss Grace" by her many close friends and neighbors. Her favorite pastimes were going to summer auctions, dealing in antiques and oriental rugs, and spending winters in Florida. She was a stewardess for Eastern Airlines, and was a social worker for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where she retired.

Grace is survived by her husband, James H. Tarbox of Longwood, Fla. and Harrison; stepson, Robert and his wife Dawn Tarbox; stepgrandsons, Eli Tarbox and Adam Tarbox; stepgranddaughters, Kayla Tarbox and Macey Tarbox; brother, Alton and his wife Julie Richardson IV; cousins, Bruce and his wife Margaret MacDougal of Harpswell, Meg MacDougal of Yarmouth, and her two children, Martha Magnuson of St. Paul, Minn., and her two children, and John Stewart and Heather Stewart of Quebec, Canada and Anne Stewart of Ontario, Canada; and her beloved pug Tugboat.

At her wishes, no funeral services will be held.
