Gary Gagnon

Gary W. Gagnon, 63, of Bridgton, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at his residence.

Gary was born in Portland on December 1, 1953, the son of Albert J. and Barbara L. (Lombard) Gagnon, and attended Fryeburg schools.

He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theater of Operations during the Vietnam War. Gary loved his country and was proud to serve it.

For most of his life, he worked as a logger. He first worked for Pete Chase Logging, then later went to work for Garland Lumber Company in North Conway, N.H., where he worked for many years.

He was an avid coin collector.

Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Gagnon of R.I., and Janet Gagnon of South Paris; two sisters, Gail Chase of North Conway, N.H., and Penny Thompson and her husband, Manlea of Bridgton; and two grandchildren, Daniel Gagnon and Lisa Gagnon.
