Donna M. Leach

Donna Leach

CASCO — Donna M. Leach was a beautiful wife, mother, Nana, daughter, and friend, who was taken suddenly from us on December 12, 2023, just 3 1/2 weeks shy of her 60th birthday.

She was born in Portland on Jan. 7, 1964, to Van Patterson and Yvonne Smart, and moved to Casco in her early teens where she met her loving husband of 41 years, Joel Leach.

Donna and Joel fell in love while she was pregnant with their first daughter and went on to get
married shortly after she was born. Their family grew by two more daughters, and they raised them together in Casco. She always made sure her girls were fed home-cooked meals, wore the best clothes, and had their hair all done up every morning.

Some of the things they loved to do together as a family included camping, road trips, picnics, cookouts, and trips to amusement parks. She and Joel enjoyed little mini getaways together, as well as going to the casino, or stopping by a local bar in their younger years. Donna loved to be around her big family and have cookouts or camping trips. She had many hobbies including ceramics, scrapbooking, crafts, keeping herself young and beautiful, and her absolute favorite thing to do was shop.

She was predeceased by her father, Van.

She is survived by her loving and supportive husband Joel and their three beautiful daughters and their spouses, Renee and Jeff Parmelee, Amy and Eric Prescott, and Maria and Wesley Landry. She was a very proud Nana to seven grandchildren: Tyson Prescott, Alexandra and Jeffrey Parmelee, Amaya and Miley Valeriani, and Damon and Carson Landry; she adored them all and loved to spoil them, especially on Christmas. She is also survived by her mother Yvonne Pepin, three brothers, Harold, Joey, and Bruce Patterson, one sister Yvette Jack, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her two dogs, Maddy and Sophie and her cat, Jack that she adored, will miss her as well.

Her whole family is very saddened by their sudden loss, they will miss her dearly and cannot imagine life without her and her infectious laugh! She will live on in our hearts forever.

Visiting hours will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at Hall Funeral Home in Casco. There is no place for contributions to be made “in lieu of flowers” because Donna loved flowers and her family wants her to be surrounded by them.

There will be a graveside committal service for her in the Spring at the Green Grove Cemetery in Casco with the day and time to be announced when it gets closer. Condolences, tributes and “Donna stories” may be shared with her family and friends at www.hallfuneralhome.net.
