Donald Miles, 86, of Bridgton, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Bridgton Hospital. 

He was born Sept. 19, 1932, to Archie and Claire Miles of Bridgton.

Donald never married, and spent most of his life in the Bridgton area. He attended public school in Bridgton and Otisfield. He was an Army veteran, having served in Korea during the Korean War with the 7th Infantry Division. After retuning home, he spent most of his adult life as a painting contractor, first working along side his father, and later carrying on the family business after his father’s death. He was a longtime member of the Second Advent Christian Church of Bridgton, until its closure a few years ago. He was an active member of VFW Post #67 of Bridgton. Don was an avid supporter of Christian missions throughout the world.

Donald was predeceased by his parents; and his sister, Faye Miles of Wareham, Mass. 

He will be greatly missed by his remaining siblings, Douglas Miles, David Miles, Natalie McAllister and Lucille Mayo, all of Maine, as well as his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 1 p.m., at the Grace Christian Church, located in Sandy Creek, Bridgton, at 11 Pinhook Road. There will be a fellowship gathering at the church after the service.
