NAPLES — Donald L. Allen, Jr., of Naples, died Thursday morning, Dec. 30, 2021, just two days after having turned 70.

He was born on Dec. 28, 1951, in Bridgton, a son of, Donald L. and Emily (Hibbard) Allen Sr. Don attended local schools and was part of the first graduating class of Lake Region High School where it is now.

Don worked the majority of his working life in the local shoe shop. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf.

Don is survived by his wife, Carol (Carruthers), whom he married on July 2, 1977, at their home in Naples; a daughter, Casey Sojdak of Fort Mill, S.C.; a son, Chad Allen of Naples; four grandchildren, MacKenzie, Isabell, Gavin and Madison.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held in the spring with the time and date to be announced. Cremation arrangements are in the care of the Hall Funeral Home in Casco, where tributes may be shared with Don’s family at www.hallfuneralhome.net.
