David D. Chaisson Sr.

RUMFORD — David D. Chaisson Sr., 78, of Andover died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 at the Rumford Hospital.

Born in Mexico on June 27, 1933, he was a son of the late Philip and Jessie MacPherson Chaisson. He attended Andover schools. He worked for TRW as a mechanic and foreman.

David was a member of Charity Masonic Lodge in Cambridge, Mass., Knights of Pythias, Rumford Lodge No. 862, BPOE and Andover Congregational Church, where he served as deacon.

He was married in Andover on May 29, 1954, to Philena Crooker, who survives, of Andover. Other survivors include three sons, David Chaisson Jr. of Salisbury, Mass., John Chaisson of Huachuca City, Ariz. and Mark Chaisson of Mexico; a daughter, Mary Louise Chaisson of Waltham, Mass.; a brother, George Chaisson of Bridgton; four sisters, Grace Guimentaro of Shrewsbury, Mass., Peggy Ann Roberts of West Paris, Eleanor Tuttle of Wichandon, Mass. and Jeannine Sullivan of Cambridge, Mass.; and many grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Myra; and many siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Andover Congregational Church with the Rev. Jane Rich officiating. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Andover.
