PALMYRA — David A. Roberts, 63, of Palmyra, passed away at his home Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015.

He was born May 24, 1952, in Lewiston, the son of Albert and Barbara (Collins) Roberts. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1970.

He worked at several places in the area, including the Hartland Tannery, Osram Sylvania in Bangor, Hydrograss Corp. in Pittsfield as a parts manager, Edwards in Pittsfield and most recently, Walpole Woodworkers in Pittsfield.

David enjoyed camping with his family at the ocean and visiting lighthouses. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at their camp on Great Moose Lake.

He and his wife coached a farm team baseball team for a few years in Palmyra, of which their sons were members. He enjoyed watching all of those children grow up and have children of their own.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Doreen (Rice) Roberts; two sons, Jeremy Roberts of Hartford and Christopher Roberts of Palmyra; two brothers, James Roberts of Sebago and Eric Roberts of Leeds; a sister, Cynthia Deschenes of Lewiston; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews and their children.

He was predeceased by a son, Aaron; his parents.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Palmyra Community Center. Interment will be held at a later date.
