WATERFORD — Darren M. “The Wrench” Dyer, 47, of Waterford, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, Feb. 2, 2016 at his garage in Waterford.

He was born on Aug. 10, 1968, in Orlando, Fla., a son of, Benjamin F. Dyer and Cindy Washburn. He attended schools in Maine and obtained his GED.
 Darren was very mechanically inclined, having “turned wrenches” on everything from passenger cars to crab fishing boats on the Bering Sea including those featured on the TV show, The Deadliest Catch, namely the Cornelia Marie, the Wizard, and the Northwestern.
 Currently, Darren owned and operated Warren’s Repair in Waterford.

Darren enjoyed spending time with his family, working on race cars, golfing and hunting when he was younger.

He is survived by his mother, Cindy Grover and her husband, Lewis “Red” Grover of Jefferson, N.H.; four sons, David of Oxford, Thomas of Harrison, Joshua of Norway and Casey of Waterford; a grandson; a brother, Jeffrey Dyer of Waterford; and ex-wife, Sonya Dyer of Waterford.

He was predeceased by his father, Benjamin F. Dyer; and an infant grandson.
