Daniel H. Fifield Jr.

WEST BALDWIN — Daniel H. Fifield Jr., 28, of West Baldwin, died on June 12, 2012, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born in Bridgton on May 10, 1984, the son of Daniel and Kelli (Small) Fifield Sr. He attended local schools and graduated from Windham High School in 2003.

Dan proudly served in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout, serving at the surge of Baghdad in Iraq.

He had worked construction and roofing before serving in the Army, and most recently worked for Countryside Butchers in Cornish as a meat cutter.

Dan loved all animals and was very involved with the ASPCA and with tiger rescue organizations. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and boating and spending time at Sebago Lake. He also loved motorcycles, dirtbiking, skiing and “recon missions with Sidrick.” Above all, he loved family functions and spending time with his loving family and many friends.

Surviving are his parents, Kelli Fifield and Daniel Fifield Sr., both of Baldwin; maternal grandmother, Marianne Small of Sebago; paternal grandmother, Arden Smith of Sebago; two brothers, Matthew Fifield and Christopher Fifield, both of Baldwin; a nephew; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours were held on Friday, June 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Watson, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple Street, Cornish. A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 16, at 10 a.m., at the New Sebago Cemetery on the Hancock Pond Road in Sebago. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wnyfuneralhome.com.
