Daniel Peterson

WATERFORD — Daniel A. Peterson, 21, of Waterford passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born in Portland on Aug. 27, 1994, the son of Dennis and Elaina Hersom Peterson. He graduated from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and had been employed by Q-Team Tree Service.

Daniel loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his nephew. He was a licensed arborist and wanted to own his own tree service someday. He was working toward getting his Class B license. He was a hard worker. He always told his father that he was “The Professional.”

There are not enough words to describe his big smile and laugh — he had a kind, loving heart, and everyone who knew him loved him. Daniel loved spending time with his girlfriend, Whitney, and her family. He would do anything for anybody — he loved life.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Samantha Eichel, who was a wonderful big sister, Sarah Rulman, Jessica Peterson, Heather Peterson and Kelly Peterson; his grandparents, Carol Wernig, Bruce Peterson and Georgina Hersom; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Whitney; and many friends.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Clifford Hersom.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Waterford Congregational Church in Waterford, followed by a Celebration of his Life at the Oriental Masonic Lodge, 166 Harrison Road in Bridgton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Christmas for Kids. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
