Curtis Pierce Sr.

NAPLES — Curtis “Curt” D. Pierce Sr., 67, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at his home.

He was born in Saco, on Nov. 8, 1951, a son of Richard A. Pierce and the late Faye (Totman) Pierce. Curt served in the Army National Guard and began his working years at Rogers Fibre in Bar Mills. He later went on to work at Vercon in Florida, and Saco Defense. 

Curt was a proud grandfather and enjoyed spending every moment he could with his grandchildren. Family was extremely important to him and family gatherings were events he cherished. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors in general, eating, cooking, and was known for his canning skills. Curt was also a longtime New England Patriots fan.

He is predeceased by his mother, Faye; and a son, Chad Pierce.

Curt is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Cummings) Pierce; his father, Richard A. Pierce; children Aaron Pierce of Albany, N.Y., Amanda Patterson of Naples, Adam Pierce of Naples and Fay Pierce of Berlin, N.H.; siblings, Richard H. Pierce Sr. of Buxton, and Dawn Datson of Buxton; and six grandchildren.

Visiting hours were held on Tuesday, July 9, from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Route 22), in Buxton. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery in Hollis.
