Christopher R. Winslow, 31

PORTLAND — Christopher Ross Winslow, 31, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 15, 2015.

He was born Oct. 11, 1983, a son of Beth Winslow Hunt and the late George Winslow. Chris attended Lake Region Schools. He worked for Marston Tree Service in Naples before moving to Lewiston, where he worked for Webster Tree Service.

Chris will be remembered for his love for the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, hiking and skiing. He had a love for animals — once hand-feeding a baby squirrel in his home until it was old enough to be released. Chris had a big heart and would do anything for anybody at anytime. His greatest goal in life was to make his mom and family proud. In the end, he did just that.

Surviving are his mom and stepfather Stephen Hunt; grandparents Mel and Eunice Long; two aunts; two uncles; 14 cousins and extended family, and his dear friend Lisa Daigle. He was predeceased by his grandmothers, Aili Winslow and Nancy Long.

A celebration of Chris's life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 21 at the home of Sarah Plummer, 235 Edes Falls Rd. in Naples. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society at 55 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240. Online condolences may be left for the family at hallfuneralhomeinc.com.
