Camilla Mowatt

NORWAY — Camilla Mowatt, 79, of Oxford, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born in Waterford, on May 9, 1935, the daughter of Lawrence and Hattie Irish Bean.

She worked at Norway Footwear and several other shoe shops. She married Stanley D. Mowatt in 1951.

She is survived by her children, Joann Brill and husband Steve of Bridgton, Stephen Mowatt and wife Julie of Bridgton, June Jack and husband Norman of Buckfield, Joyce Toothaker of Bridgton, Rodney Mowatt of Bridgton and Julie Ibnhadi and husband Chakib of Norway; a grandson she raised, Michael Mowatt; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Stanley; son Stanley Richard Mowatt; grandson Scott R. Mowatt; brothers and sisters Phyllis Millett, Lyman Rodgers, Elizabeth Yeatton, Lillian Bean, Pauline Andrews, Elise Thompson, Mary Millett, Perley Bean, Leon Bean, Rosewell Rodgers, Florence Norton.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm St., Bridgton. Family and friends attended a time of visitation on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the spring at Forest Hills Annex Cemetery, Bridgton.
