Arthur D. Triglione

Arthur Triglione

Arthur D. Triglione, Sr. passed away surrounded by his family.

Arthur was born and raised in Somerville, Mass., and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army. He and Jeri started their family in Melrose, Mass. He has always put family first while also serving his community at large. In
Melrose, he volunteered at the local YMCA as a dedicated swim coach
and role model for the swimmers. An avid swimmer himself, he enjoyed long swims in Sebago Lake at his in-law’s camp. His love for Maine grew further after he and Jeri purchased their own camp. Family and friends grew closer with all the time they spent together making memories on the shores of Sebago Lake. For his work life, Arthur was the manager of Computer Operations at TRW in Burlington, Mass., and was fortunate enough to retire in his mid 50s.

After retirement Arthur moved to Bridgton where he continued to focus on his family and community. He served four terms as a Bridgton selectman, including three as chairman, where he was always willing to listen to a concerned citizen and give his advice. He volunteered many years for the Bridgton Fire Department. Arthur was an active member of St. Joseph Church community and received recognition for his dedication and commitment. For 20 years, Arthur looked forward to every 4th of July. You could find him as a race volunteer cutting watermelons for the runners and interacting with his community. His greatest gift to all of us was the love he gave his family. Whether lending a helping hand or a listening ear, we will always remember and hold close to our hearts Dad’s willingness to be there for anyone when help was needed.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeri, his three children; son Anthony Sr. and his wife Kristine; daughter Nancy Whelan and her husband Tim; son Arthur Jr. and four grandchildren; Tony Jr., Michael, Sam and Sadie.

Family and friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, South High Street, Bridgton. Spring interment will be in the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Springvale.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mission of Deeds, missionofdeeds.org, a special nonprofit organization founded by Arthur’s older brother Anthony.
