Arlene L. Clow, 80

SEBAGO — Arlene L. Clow, 80, of Dyke Mountain Road, Sebago, died peacefully on March 19, 2014, of Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS).

Arlene was born to Everett and Marie Sharon Chase Aug. 29, 1933, in Laconia, N.H. The oldest of nine children, she attended Laconia High School, graduating in 1951. She worked as a secretary for a large knitting machine company in Laconia, where she met her future husband, Richard "Dick" Clow. They were married in 1955 and moved to Sebago with their three children in 1961.

In addition to the beloved dogs that Arlene raised over the years, she enjoyed working with people, and for twenty-two years drove bus for the Regional Transportation Program. Transporting people from their homes around Cumberland County to the mall, grocery stores and appointments, Arlene was voted Driver-of-the-Year on several occasions.

Arlene was predeceased by her husband in 2008. She is survived by her son Todd and his wife Rebecca (Brunswick), her son Thomas and his wife Lorrie (Sebago), and her daughter Sharon MacMahon and her husband Tom (West Topsham, Vermont), as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a small celebration of Arlene's life at the Sebago Town Hall, Sebago, Maine on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. Arlene will be interred this spring at the New Sebago Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wnyfuneralhome.com
