Anne Hall

WESTBROOK – Anne Hall, 93, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Maine Medical Center. In recent years, she had been living at the Stroudwater Lodge Senior Living Facility in Westbrook.

Anne was born April 18, 1930, in Sanford, Maine. She was the only child of G. Edwin and Margaret (Durgin) Bridges and resided in Maine all of her life. She was a graduate of Gorham High School and Fisher Secretarial School in Boston.

Anne met her future husband, Clif, while working as a member of the office staff at Gorham State Teachers College. They married in 1951 at the Gorham Methodist Church and remained married for 71 years. Anne worked at various schools as an administrative assistant within the Lake Region School District for many years. Prior to retirement, she worked for Chalmers Insurance Company in Bridgton.

During early retirement, Anne and her husband Clif enjoyed traveling the U.S. by car. Anne particularly loved the Southwest and New Orleans. They also started their own business, Family Tree Antiques, which provided years of enjoyment traveling to New England antique shows and the making of new friends along the way. For years, Anne enjoyed Saturday “Bean Suppers” with extended family and friends, along with her weekly swimming classes at the Westbrook Community Center and attending Gorham Methodist Church. Anne dearly loved her friends and extended family and enjoyed keeping in touch by phone and e-mail.

Anne is survived her sons David and his wife Jean of Buxton, Thomas of Raymond, and her daughter Patricia Kohler and her husband, David of Raymond, four grandchildren, Amy, Brett, Anne, and Jay, and four great-grandchildren, Kevin, Ivy, Oliver, and Evelyn.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton Hall in October of 2022.

We would like to thank the Stroudwater Lodge staff for all their generous care given to our mother. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Gray Village Cemetery.
