Anna M. Lestage

WINDHAM & ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Anna M. Lestage, 78, died on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Maine Medical Center in Portland with her family at her side.

Born in Mexico, she was a daughter of Lucious and Annie Mae Riley Callaghan. She attended Portland schools. Always a very hard worker, she held many positions at Cole Farms Restaurant in Gray and retired in 1987.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Gray and Naples and was an avid bingo player. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, golf and bowling. Spending time with family was very important to her and she looked forward to their visits in Florida.

Mrs. Lestage was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard J. Pratt in 1982; sisters, Bea Rossi and Catherine Davison, brother, Bobby Callaghan; niece, Patricia Davison Rogers and nephew, Michael Davison. Surviving her are her husband, John G. Lestage Sr. of Windham and St. Petersburg, Fla.; children, James B. Pratt of Raymond, Kathleen A. LaVallee of Gray, Maureen Pratt-Kostka of Windham, Michael B. Pratt of Biddeford, John E. Pratt of Gray, Rick E. Pratt of Mohegan Lake, N.Y., and Jeffrey S. Pratt of South China; stepchildren, John Lestage Jr. of Standish, Carol Nadeau of Gorham, Linda Wright of Gorham, and Bruce Lestage of Warrensburg, Mo.; nine grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Isabell Fergerson; and three nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at St. John’s (RC) Cemetery, Isthmus Road, Rumford. Online condolences may be left at www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com
