Anna L. Chandler

GORHAM — Anna “Anne” L. Chandler, 85, of Gorham and formerly of Windham, died Thursday, Oct.7, 2010 at the Gorham House.
She was born in Walpole, Mass. on Oct. 11, 1924 the daughter of the late Vito and Pasqua (Iezzi) DiCenso.

Mrs. Chandler attended schools in Massachusetts and locally at Deering High School in Portland. She worked for many years at J.J. Nissen in Portland as a baker. She moved to Connecticut where she became employed at First National Bakery as a baker for three years and then in Portland for several more. Following her retirement from First National Bakery, she worked part time for the Windham School District as a custodian.

Anne loved her home on Little Sebago and enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens, swimming, the four seasons and family gatherings while they resided on the lake.

She shared 42 years of marriage with Paul J. Chandler of Gorham.
In addition to her husband, family members include a daughter, Judith Craig of South Casco; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Dominic DiCenso of Florida; a sister, Florence Stewart of South Portland; and several nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by two brothers, Vito DiCenso Jr. and Sante DiCenso.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 919 Roosevelt Trail, North Windham on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010. Arrangements were by Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. Private burial will be held by the family at Brooklawn Cemetery, Portland.
