Albert ‘Hank’ Huhn Jr., 74

BRIDGTON — Albert “Hank” Huhn Jr., 74, of Sweden, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Bridgton Hospital.

He was born in Waldwick, New Jersey on Oct. 23, 1939, the son of Albert Huhn Sr. and Louisa Frantz Huhn.

He graduated from high school and attended automotive school. He served in the U.S. Army, where he was an M.P. and dog handler. He married Mary Hall on July 22, 1961.

He had been employed in the retail industry all of his life, most recently at Hayes True Value. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Gorham. He enjoyed gardening and German Shepherds.

He is survived by his wife of Sweden; his son Lloyd and his wife Judy; his sister Jean Hall and her husband Richard; grandchildren, David Milligan and fiancée Brittney Wood, Matthew Huhn and Heather Huhn and fiancé Caine Wing; nieces, Lynn Wielinga, Beth and Rob Nussbaum and Meredith and Connor Gleeson; as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Dikstra and Catherine Wielinga.

Private graveside services will be held at the Libby Family Cemetery in Sweden.
