Ernest B. Baldwin Sr.

BROWNFIELD — Ernest Benjamin “Ernie,” Baldwin Sr., 71, of Brownfield, formerly of Andover, Mass. and Wilmington, Mass. died peacefully at home on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011.

Ernie was the co-owner of Baldwin Crane and Equipment, Inc., located in Wilmington, Mass. and was a 50-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #4 in Boston.

Ernie is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Shirley (Smith) Baldwin. He was the loving father of his children, Deborah L. Baldwin of Plaistow, N.H., Linda J. Finlayson of Andover, Mass., Ernest Benjamin Baldwin, Jr. of Andover and Christina R. Gunn of Hooksett, N.H.; nine grandchildren; brothers, Lionel Baldwin of Gloucester, William Earl Baldwin of Byfield and David Baldwin of Hamilton, Mass. and Stuart, Fla.; a sister, Gloria Krzys of Londonderry, N.H.; nieces, nephews and cousins galore!

Visiting hours were held on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Avenue (Rte. 62), Wilmington, Mass. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove Street, Lynnfield, Mass. Family and friends will also gather Saturday, Dec. 3 for visiting hours at 10 to 11 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at the Kezar Falls Assembly of God Church, Route 25, Parsonsfield. Interment to follow on the Baldwin Family Farm in Brownfield.
