Raymond E. Gould, 90

RAYMOND — Raymond E. Gould, 90, of Raymond, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris after a long illness.

He was born in Portland on Jan. 7, 1926, the son of Tilman and Emily Gould. Ray was a WWII Veteran and belonged to the Eagles and the Elks Club, as well as being a lifetime member of the American Legion. Ray retired from Nelson & Small Co. after many years of employment.

He loved family gatherings, cookouts and playing cards with friends. Ray camped for many years and belonged to N.C.H.A.

He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Kathleen, his sisters, Lodia, Ida, Rena; and his brother Albert. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Gould, and Janice Walker and her husband Frank Brume; four grandchildren, Charlotte Irish and her husband Kevin, Patricia Tuttle and her husband Gerald, Darryl Walker and his wife Tammy, and Cliff Walker; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

An hour of visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., on Nov. 5th at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Rd. Casco. At Ray's request there will be no formal funeral service.
