Raymond A. Eames, 83

WALPOLE, MASS. — Raymond Arthur Eames, 83, of Walpole, Mass. died on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Raymond was very active in Reliance Lodge Odd Fellows, Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, United Church in Walpole, Massaoitt Community College Senior Orchestra, South East Mass Community Band and a U.S. Army veteran. He and his beloved wife, Miriam, had a summer home in Bridgton on Long Lake for over 40 years. They were active in the First Congregational Church. After he retired, Ray was a member of the Bridgton Community Band. He loved to fish, chop and split wood, sit on the deck and watch the loons. Maine was a big part of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Miriam (Carlstrom); devoted brother, Robert D. of Cleveland, Ohio; six nephews and three nieces; and many loving grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Walpole, 30 Common Street, Walpole. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be private at the family’s request.
