AMESBURY, MASS. — Ruth Jane (McGlew) Broyer, 88, of Amesbury, Mass., passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2012 with family by her side and has joined her husband of 61 years, William Broyer, her many brothers, sisters and family members.

Ruth was born on Feb. 13, 1924.

Ruth had a wonderful life, always there for her family and was a wonderful mom. She will be sorely missed and we were blessed to have her. The family treasures the memories of all the great times at the family camp in Fryeburg and in Port Charlotte, Fla. May she rest in peace with her husband and brothers and sisters in heaven, watching over all of us until we meet again.

She leaves 10 children, William Broyer of Kensington, N.H., Thomas Broyer of Newton, N.H., Bruce Broyer of Chico, Calif., Kathy (Broyer) Tedford of Brentwood, N.H., Regina (Broyer) Johnson of Newburyport, Robert Broyer of Hampton, N.H., Sergeant Alan Broyer of Lovell, Michelle Broyer of Fryeburg, Lawrence Broyer of Wakefield, N.H., and David Broyer of Kingston, N.H.; 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; a loving sister, Anna Osborne of Amesbury, Mass.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours were held on Monday, Oct. 8, at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, Mass. A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Oct. 9, at St. Joseph Church of the Holy Family Parish, 2 School Street, Amesbury.
