William W. McDade, 67

SEBAGO — William “Bill” W. McDade, 67, died on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at Central Maine Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He was born on May 5, 1948, in Portland, the son of William and Elizabeth (Jordan) McDade.

Bill was a patriotic man and dedicated 24 years of his life serving in the United States Air Force.

In retirement, he enjoyed his position as the assistant librarian at the Spaulding Memorial Library of Sebago. He loved watching the Red Sox and Patriots, and hosting all of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at his cottage on Sebago Lake. His favorite spot at the cottage was sitting at the picnic table with his neighbors and friends.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Linda Dow McDade; children, Casey McDade of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kelley McDade of Seabrook, N.H., and Jen Despotovic of Pearland, Texas; sister, Kathi McDade of Standish; stepchildren, Kelly Cates of Lisbon and Keena Cates of Winslow; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one nephew.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Sebago Church of the Nazarene, 183 Sebago Road, Route 114, Sebago. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.dolbyfuneralchapels.com
