Thomas Warren Cox

WINDHAM — Thomas Warren Cox, 81, passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth.

He was born Aug. 28, 1937, the son of Robert and Annette (Rioux) Cox. Tom was a graduate from Gorham High School in the Class of 1957. Shortly after graduation, Tom enlisted in the United State Navy, proudly serving his country for two years. On Sept. 1, 1957, he married Jeanne Lachance and together made their home in Windham. Tom spent five years working at Universal CIT and then at Chrysler Credit as a credit manager in Falmouth; retiring in 1999 after 25 years of employment.

Tom was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing in his spare time. He will be remembered as a practical joker with a charming personality and love for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne Cox of Windham; children, Julie Michaud of Raymond and Michael Cox of Windham; three grandchildren; a sister, Annette Kneeland of Gorham; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was predeceased by his half siblings, Gloria Wiggin, Roberta Cox, Frank Tozie, Robert Flaherty and Loraine Knighton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Stroudwater Street, Westbrook.
