WINDHAM — Sally A. Clark, 76, of Windham, died on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Springbrook Center in Westbrook.

Born on Dec. 30, 1938, in Portland, Sally was the daughter of the late Owen and Kathleen (Robinson) McCarthy. She was raised in Portland and graduated from Portland High School, Class of 1956. That same year, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Clark, on June 14, 1956. Together, they shared nearly 52 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2008.

During her life, Sally’s main priority was being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked a number of jobs while her children were growing up. Sally was an avid bingo and card player, and had a strong love of animals. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of wit and her ability to always find the positive amidst trying situations.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her beloved son, David Clark; a grandson; and brother, Robert McCarthy.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Clark of Windham; son, Keith Clark of Raymond; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours were held on Sunday at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland. Her funeral service was held at the funeral home on Monday. Burial followed at Arlington Cemetery, Windham.
