NAPLES — Roscoe Shane, 79, of Naples passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2014, with his family by his side.

He was born on April 16, 1934 to Frank D. and Daisy D. Shane in Casco.

Roscoe enjoyed life to the fullest, especially enjoying camping trips with his family and friends and going to public suppers. He was a log truck driver for Flagg Mill in Naples, worked as a bus driver for SAD 61, and truck driver for the State of Maine Department of Transportation. He was a member of Naples Fire Department and Masonic Temple Lodge of Bridgton.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley M. Shane; their children, Cathy Hewson, Jeff Shane, Randy Shane, Penny Belyea, Roxanne Simonton, Lori Andrews and Ted Shane; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Tony Shane; his parents; and several brothers and sisters

Visiting hours will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco. A private service will be held at a later date.
