BROWNFIELD — Robert W. Parker, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the Androscoggin Hospice in Auburn.

He was born in Painesville, Ohio on March 18, 1933, a son of James and Anna Bumblis Parker of Pensacola, Ohio. He was a sibling to one brother and five sisters. He was educated in Peninsula, Ohio schools and was a graduate of Boston High School in Pensacola and of McKini Technical Institute of Akron, Ohio. He married Joyce C. (Brown) Parker in 1958. He was employed by Consolidated Freightways in Richfield, Ohio as an Eastern Area Schedule Coordinator. He retired to Maine after 25 years of service. Robert was owner of River Run Canoe and Company in Brownfield, Maine.

He enjoyed the outdoors, playing the accordion, treasure hunting at flea markets and collecting antique vehicles. He was especially fond of his 1935 pickup truck.

Robert is survived by is wife, Joyce C. Parker of Brownfield; his son, Robert J. and wife Erin K. Parker of Brownfield; his sisters, Lillian, Betty, Lucille and Katherine, all of Ohio; and three grandchildren.
