Rebecca Sargent

Rebecca “Becky” Ann Sargent, 39, of Buxton and Bridgton passed away unexpectedly in Portland on Monday, March 28, 2016, due to complications from a longtime heart condition.

She was born in Portland on Dec. 1, 1976, the daughter of Dwain and Erlane (Knight) Sargent, who currently reside in Newmarket, N.H.

After graduating from Bonny Eagle High School in 1995, she went on to graduate from Sterling College in Vermont in 1997, and received her bachelor’s degree from Vermont Tech College in 1999.

She was employed as a vet tech and most recently was driving cab in Portland.

Becky was active in the Buxton Girl and Boy Scouts, 4-H, and the American Rabbit Breeders Association. She enjoyed sewing, the outdoors, especially camping and hiking. However, being with her beloved son, Liam, the love of her life, was most important to her.

Becky is survived by her parents; son, Liam Michaud who will be living in Naples; brother, D. Robert Sargent II of Exeter, N.H.; a nephew and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service to celebrate Becky’s life will be announced in the near future. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Hollis. Arrangements have been entrusted to Chad E.
